SRI-Rice website: 3,199 unique visitors (3,659 last month) from 87 countries (91 last month) logged 4,154 sessions (4,752 last month) in which 7,582 pages (8,832 last month) were viewed. [Top ten user countries in order of sessions: India, USA, Philippines, Malaysia, Nigeria, Indonesia, Tanzania, Nepal, German and UK.]
Facebook pages: 1) SRI-Rice: All-time likes 2,166. 2) SRI Equipment Innovators Exchange: 306 members (1 new) 3) SRI West Africa: 2,253 members (67 new)

- Save water to get full power subsidy, farmers in UT told [Puducherry Minister of Agriculture and Power said only farmers who adopt water-conservation schemes such as SRI, drip irrigation, etc., would be given cent per cent power subsidy.]
December 30, 2016, New Indian Express (Puducherry, India) - Paddy production in Morang highest in five years [Chief of the District Agricultural Development Office, Morang district, said that paddy area is shrinking (only 92,000 hectares), but paddy production has increased to 382,713 tons this year, up 14% from last year. SRI is increasing and has helped increase paddy production is in Morang district.]
